Registering Class & Is listening to class 20hrs/week too much?

Last week, I had to register class for next semester, which starts on March. As always, two weeks ago, my head was blasting because of the schedule and the choices that I had to make. If I make a trouble in the schedule, whole semester would be disaster. So I had to be very prudent on selecting classes.

I first had to make decision on how many and what major I should listen. This was a bit difficult since there were so many professors. I had to search in the community webpage of my university to get information about the class and the professor.

Another decision that I had to make is whether I should listen to class more than 18hrs/week or not. Following to my school's regulation, normal students can listen to up to 18 hrs/week. However they let students who has reached more than 3.75 on their GPA to listen to class up to 21hrs/week. Thankfully, I was able to listen to the class for more than 18hr/week, but was worried because extra classes would make me overloaded. Not only that, I might get lower GPA if I can not fit in the schedule, having hard time understanding the class. There were many people around me who listened to 21hrs/week and got lower GPA, so I was kind of worried.

I decided to listen to 19hr/week, which was just listening to  one hour more per week than normal students. I thought that it's only a hour, and studying only a hour more than normal students won't make me overloaded or give hard time.

The funny thing is, this kind of concerning was super needless. Those kind of concerns were needed after the success of registration of the class that I wanted to listen. Since there are limited number of students who can listen to the class but huge number of students who were willing to listen to the class, I failed to register the class that I wanted at the first day. I could only register 3 classes. On the second day of registration, my friend helped me to register the classes, and I succeeded (actually she succeeded; I couldn't enter the registration system before her :3) most of classes. However I could not listen to one class that I wanted to listen-Chinese, which was 2hr class per week. So I had to find replacement that would fit my schedule. I found the class that I wanted to listen and fit my schedule.

But there was one small problem, that it's 3hr class per week. If I listen to this class, I am listening to 20hrs/week. Am I able to understand all the content that professor talks about? Would I be able to have my own time to study, and go over what I've learned?

Since I have no choice but to listen 20hrs/week, I am going to take a deep breath and make all the class under control, but I will have to see whether I can do it or not.
